Science – EP is Alexander Morgan’s debut solo project. This five-song composition is an experiment investigating the nature of science and technology, observing how the inherent progression of said phenomena affect the human condition. Intuitively drawn to such musical experimentalists as Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, Grizzly Bear’s Daniel Rossen, and Jeff Buckly, Morgan drew from psychedelic rock, electronica, and classic rock to create his first fully realized body of work. Morgan’s multi-octave range and obsession with harmony tie each song together, leading the melodic exploration of the earth and outer space. Drawing from the lyrical realm of early MUSE albums, Morgan’s narrative thread throughout this EP considers a world where numbers, formulas and algorithms converge with a deep-seated, intuitive approach to human understanding.
